The Jain temple in Nagpura is dedicated to the 23rd Tirthankar (Jain saint) Parshwanath and commemorates the visit of the saint to the region 3,000 years ago. Inside the temple are some elaborate chandeliers and shiny ornate lintels. This temple is also known among devotees as Shri Uwassaggaharam Parshwa Tirth, shrine (‘Uwassaggaharam’ meaning the emancipator of all evils).
